Jonathan Majors Avoids Jail Sentence

Jonathan Majors has narrowly avoided going to jail, but he has been sentenced to a 52-week domestic violence intervention programme.

The 34-year-old actor was found guilty of a misdemeanour in December last year, after he reportedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend, British choreographer Grace Jabbari, in March.

Reports claim that the altercation occurred between Majors and Jabbari when she caught sight of a text message from another woman, which said: “Wish I was kissing you right now.” Majors has denied the allegations of assault and instead claims that Jabbari attacked him.

Before sentencing, both sides in the case mutually agreed that the charges did not merit jail time.

Justice Michael Gaffey announced his verdict on Monday, 8 April, at the state Supreme Court in Manhattan, New York. The film star will need to complete an “in-person batterer’s intervention programme” in Los Angeles, California where he lives.

As a result of the charges, Majors has been dropped from the Marvel Universe, in which he appeared in the ongoing series, “Loki”, and the 2023 “Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania” film.

Majors seems ready to move on to a new chapter of his life as his current girlfriend, actress Meagan Good, accompanied him to the sentencing.
