Wednesday Gaming – Suicide Squad Delay, Apex Legends, Shrek and MORE!

Catch up on the latest news, rumours and announcements from the world of video games, tech and entertainment:

– Season 2 of “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” has been delayed due to undisclosed reasons. The season, which would have introduced Mrs Freeze, was originally set to go live on Thursday, 11 July. Instead, it will now launch on 25 July.

– Free-to-play shooter, “Apex Legends”, is introducing a new Battle Pass system from Season 22 onwards. However, players will be required to spend real money to purchase the Battle Pass.

–  As a result, outraged “Apex Legends” players are bombarding the game’s Steam page with negative reviews, protesting against this monetisation tactic.

– “Shift 87”, a new horror observation game developed by Pixelsplit and published by Daedalic Entertainment, will be released for PC on 23 July. In the game, players must locate 66 supernatural anomalies before their shift ends.

– “Shrek” fans, rejoice! DreamWorks Animation has confirmed that “Shrek 5” will see a theatrical release on 1 July 2026, and it will star original cast members Mike Myers (Shrek), Eddie Murphy (Donkey) and Cameron Diaz (Princess Fiona).
