Catch up on the latest news, rumours and announcements from the world of video games, tech and entertainment:

– Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment are urging players not to play an early build version of “Space Marine 2”, which was leaked over the weekend, way ahead of its 9 September 2024 release.

– Per a statement posted by Focus Entertainment via Twitter/X: “Our teams have poured years of hard work, passion and dedication into creating a game worthy of your hopes and expectations, and it’s disheartening that many of the surprises we worked to keep secret were spoiled … We’re asking everyone to avoid this unfinished build and to not spoil the game for those excited to experience it for the first time at launch.”

–  Nigerian gamer, Oside “Khoded” Oluwole, has broken the record for the world’s longest video game marathon for a soccer game. Using his iPhone, which was connected to his TV, the 24-year-old played “Dream Soccer League” for approximately 75 hours.

– A closed beta test for an upcoming patch for “Baldur’s Gate 3” is scheduled to go live next Monday, 22 July. Players who successfully apply for the beta test will be able to access, test out, and give feedback on several new features and improvements in the patch. These include enhanced endings for evil playthroughs, better mod support and a split-screen mode for co-op players.

– The upcoming Ultra Unlock Raid Day event on 27 July 2024 will feature the debut of Mega Lucario in “Pokémon GO.” Lucario encountered and captured in raids will know the Fast Attack Force Palm ability. Plus, there’s a rare chance that players may encounter and potentially capture Shiny Lucario.
