Wednesday Gaming – PS5, Star Wars, The Witcher 4 and MORE!

– Reports indicate that a successor to the PlayStation Portable and PS Vita is currently being developed by Sony. The company is said to be working on a handheld PS5 device that would likely rival Nintendo’s upcoming Switch 2 and Valve’s Steam Deck.

– Major mobile game developer, Zynga, says they are planning to launch battle arena game, “Star Wars: Hunters”, on PC through Steam Early Access in 2025.

– Yaron Levyan, executive vice president of games at Zynga, says: “The success of ‘Star Wars: Hunters’ on mobile and Nintendo Switch devices has led to our decision to expand the game to PC. This is something our community of fans have been asking for and we are very excited to welcome even more players to Vespaara.”

– Polish game developer, CD Projekt, has revealed that “The Witcher 4”, internally referred to as “Project Polaris”, has officially moved out of the pre-production stage and into full-scale production.

– Xbox is discontinuing the Avatar Editor app on consoles and PC, effective 9 January 2025. Users will lose access to their Avatars and purchased items. Refunds will be issued for Avatar purchases made between 1 November 2023 and 9 January 2025.
