– Sony is shutting down its live-service shooter, “Concord”. It will go offline this Friday, 6 September – just two weeks after it was launched to mixed reviews and a low level of concurrent players. Refunds will be issued to players who purchased the game.

– News of the shutdown for “Concord” has garnered messages of support from those in the gaming industry. In response, design director Josh Hamrick tweeted: “For all of you reaching out with love, you are the reason we make games. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

– Rumour has it that Sony has reached an agreement with Rockstar Games to secure exclusive marketing rights for “Grand Theft Auto 6”. This will enable Sony to advertise the highly-anticipated game alongside the PS5, as well as the upcoming PS5 Pro model.

– Ballistic Moon, the developer of the upcoming “Until Dawn” remake, has confirmed that they have laid off several of its employees. The exact number of affected employees has not been disclosed.

– A board game version of “Cyberpunk 2077”, which is being developed by Go On Board, has surpassed its $100 000-crowdfunding goal on GameFound. After opening its campaign on Tuesday morning, 3 September, it pulled in over $700 000 in just ten minutes. As of writing, it has reached over $1 900 000.
