‘The Handmaid’s Tale’: New Season in Production after Major Delays
Blessed be! Season four of the acclaimed dystopian television series, “The Handmaid’s Tale”, was announced to be back in production, and we can expect it in 2021.
The series’ official Twitter account made the announcement back in June, but the coronavirus had since put a halt to the production crew’s activities in Toronto, Canada – until now.
Earlier this year, Bruce Miller, the show’s producer, stated that the new season will consist of only 10 episodes – much like the first season – because he feels “some storylines just seem to shake out as a 10-episode story.”
In an interview on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” last month, lead star Elisabeth Moss did not go too deeply into what the next season may hold, although she did say that the show is “shockingly relevant”.
She said: “It’s important to hold that mirror up to society and to ourselves to try to get people to face what’s going on, before it’s too late.”
