Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have confirmed that they are engaged, sharing the news with matching Instagram posts, captioned: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”

The carousel of images included the 35-year-old National Football League player proposing in a woodland setting, the couple embracing, and a close-up of Swift’s dazzling diamond ring.

In a recent interview, Kelce’s father, Ed, revealed his son proposed nearly two weeks earlier in a garden at Lee’s Summit, Missouri: “They were about to go out to dinner… they got out there, and that’s when he asked her and it was beautiful.”.

The ring, featuring an antique Old Mine cut diamond set in yellow gold, has been valued at more than half a million dollars. The “Shake It Off” hitmaker’s Ralph Lauren striped sundress sold out within minutes of the announcement, underlining her influence on fashion.
