Shitembi: I Expect A Difficult Match

Namibia will be hosting Eritrea in a 2022 FIFA World Cup first-round second-leg match, but are looking wary after struggling during their previous encounter.

The Brave Warriors head coach Bobby Samaria was not pleased with their previous performance after they scraped by with a 2-1 win in Asmara last week.

He said that they would have scored more goals if they had not missed their open chances.

Samaria believes the inclusion of Petrus Shitembi will strengthen the team in an attacking sense. He expects his team to do better since they are now familiar with Eritrea’s style of play.

He said: “We did not know them well, but we did well. Now, they are an open book, and surely our planning will be different.”

Shitembi thinks that his team might have underestimated Eritrea – the third-weakest footballing country globally, according to FIFA.

Shitembi said to the press: “I expect a difficult match. They will definitely be looking to cause an upset.”

Namibia will host Eritrea today at the Sam Nujoma Stadium at 7pm (CAT) for the 2022 FIFA World Cup first-round second-leg.
