Sentebale Chair Alleges Misconduct as Princes Resign

Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho have stepped down as patrons of Sentebale, the charity they co-founded in 2006 to support children affected by HIV/AIDS in southern Africa.
Their resignation follows a dispute with the charity’s chairperson, Dr Sophie Chandauka, who has accused Prince Harry of bullying and misconduct.
Dr Chandauka alleges that Prince Harry and other trustees attempted to remove her through harassment, citing incidents such as conflicts over a Netflix deal and a fundraising event featuring Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
The chairperson has filed complaints with the United Kingdom Charity Commission and taken legal action to block her removal, accusing Sentebale’s leadership of bullying, misogyny and abuse of power.
Prince Harry, Prince Seeiso, and several trustees who also resigned argued that the situation had become untenable. They claim the breakdown in relations with Dr Chandauka made it impossible to continue, while reaffirming their commitment to Sentebale’s mission.
The Charity Commission is reviewing governance concerns at Sentebale. The dispute has raised questions about the future leadership of the charity, which has played a significant role in supporting vulnerable children in Lesotho and Botswana.
