Selena Gomez Struck by Panic Attack at Awards Show
Selena Gomez reportedly suffered a panic attack prior to her comeback performance at the American Music Awards on Sunday night, 24 November.
According to reports, the 27-year-old songstress was set to perform her latest ballad, “Lose You to Love Me”, at the prestigious awards ceremony – which took place at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, California.
However, she allegedly endured a panic-induced episode just before she took to the stage.
A source explained: “[Gomez] definitely had anxiety and a panic attack before she went out, and was putting a lot of pressure on herself.”
Another source added: “She was nervous. She hasn’t been on stage in two years, and it’s an important song in her career. She really wanted to deliver.”
As a result, Gomez’s performance was regarded as shaky and off-key by fans. She also performed an upbeat rendition of her new bop, “Look at Her Now”, albeit with more confidence.
After her performance, Gomez took to Instagram to thank her fans and revealed that it “feels good to be back”.
