Ronaldo Sets Personal Career Best and New Record

Juventus striker, Cristiano Ronaldo, keeps exceeding expectations, after he recently scored his 750th goal during his side’s ’ 3-0 victory over Dynamo Kyiv last night, Wednesday 2 December.

Not only did the 35-year-old Portuguese superstar reach the personal milestone at the 57th minute, but he also broke the record of 71 goals scored on home turf at Juventus Stadium.

This means Ronaldo surpassed rival Lionel Messi’s tally of 70, thus setting a new UEFA Champions League record.

To cap it all off, the match was officiated by Stephanie Frappart, the first female referee to do so in the history of the football competition.

Juve are now second in Group G with 12 points, three places behind Barcelona; both teams qualify for the next round of the Champions League.

The next group stage match will see Juventus take on Torino this Saturday, 5 December, and they will then meet Messi’s Barca three days later. No doubt both teams are looking to finish top of the pool.
