Footballing superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, has returned to training and is in “perfect” condition, says Juventus squad member, Leonardo Bonucci.

Since European football was suspended on 9 March due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 35-year-old Juve forward spent his quarantine period in Portugal with his family, before making the return trip to Turin, Italy, last month.

He recently turned up for training in such good shape that Bonucci called him “perfect” for looking the same as he did before the lockdown. The centre-back admired his “champion” captain for maintaining his professionalism.

He said: “[Ronaldo] is a super athlete, a great professional. He told me what he did to keep fit during the quarantine … he is a champion, from all points of view.”

The Serie-A, top-flight club is set to join other teams on the pitch for the restart on 20 June, just as other European football competitions are following suit.
Juventus will resume their league campaign with a face-off against Bologna on 22 June.
