PSG Might See a Neymar-less Champions League Final

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has a dark cloud hanging over its head as its star player, Neymar, might not be in the 2020 UEFA Champions League final this Sunday, 23 August.
The 28-year-old Brazilian has been a massive asset to the French club, but in a moment of sportsmanship, Neymar was spotted swapping shirts with RB Leipzig player, Marcel Halstenberg, after the final whistle blew on Tuesday night, 18 August.
The pair exchanged shirts after PSG’s 3-0 victory over Leipzig – while the gesture is considered a common tradition, it has now been discouraged in order to prevent spread of the coronavirus.
UEFA updated its protocols earlier this month, and the relevant provision states that “players are recommended to refrain from swapping their shirts”; non-compliance could result in “disciplinary measures in accordance with the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations.”
Besides facing a possible match ban, Neymar could be forced to self-isolate for 14 days to avoid the risk of transmission, meaning he could be sitting out this weekend’s final against Bayern Munich or Lyon.
Understandably, PSG supporters are on tenterhooks until the UEFA Disciplinary Committee makes a call on the matter later this week.
