Pochettino Hints Premier League Return

Former Tottenham manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has mentioned that he would cherish another opportunity to be in the English Premier League (EPL).

The 47-year-old Argentinian – who was sacked in November 2019 due to the team’s inconsistent form – expressed his desire in an interview.

He said: “To be honest, I would love to work in the Premier League. It’s going to be difficult, I know, and for now, it’s a moment to wait and we’ll see what happens.”

Despite his dismissal, Pochettino managed to finish in the top-four of the EPL for four successive seasons and also reached the Champions League final in the previous season. He is still regarded as one of the best coaches in the world and many clubs have expressed interest in his signature.

According to reports, Manchester United vice-president Ed Woodward wants the Argentine at Old Trafford – and has already held talks with his agent.

Although Pochettino maintains that those are just rumours and there’s nothing in the pipeline at the moment – he was spotted with Woodward’s new advisor on Tuesday, 11 February – after announcing his wish to return.
