Philippe Coutinho Expected to Move Back to EPL

Barcelona coach, Quique Setien, has heavily hinted that his star player, Philippe Coutinho, might be returning to the Premier League next season.

The 27-year-old Brazilian currently plays for German outfit, FC Bayern Munich, as part of a seasonal loan from the Catalans. However, Setien has stated that he’s “counting” on Coutinho playing for him in the next season.

Recently, both Chelsea and Tottenham Spurs have rumoured to be courting the talented midfielder. However claims from his agent, Kia Joorabchian, all but confirm that a return to the English top-flight is likely on the cards.

Joorabchian said: “The Premier League is something that [Coutinho] has always enjoyed playing in, and loved playing in, and would probably love to come back and play in.”

Despite struggling to find his rhythm shortly after transferring from Liverpool to Barca in January 2018 for a hefty £160 million, Coutinho has made strides in both the Bundesliga and La Liga competitions, in which he scored 21 goals from 76 appearances for the Spanish team.
