Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott Snubbed Sergio Ramos

Liverpool wunderkind, Harvey Elliott, reportedly was in talks with Real Madrid in summer 2019, and apparently blew off meeting their captain, Sergio Ramos.

Late last year, the 17-year-old winger was offered to be shown around the home grounds of Los Blancos in Madrid, Spain, as the final part of the club’s attempts to sign him up.

He was also offered a chance to meet Ramos. However, the rising Reds star politely turned down the offer.

Elliott, a dedicated Liverpool fan, reportedly said: “No, it’s okay, thanks, I don’t like [Ramos] after what he did to Mo Salah.”

The teen’s response stems from an incident that occurred during the Champions League final in Kyiv in May 2018, in which Ramos brought down the Egyptian forward.

The challenge left Salah with an injured shoulder and forced to sit out the rest of the game – which the Reds lost 3-1.

Later, Ramos denied all malicious intent in the tackle that left Salah out of play, stating that he had nothing but “respect” for “this nice duel”.
