Liverpool have firmly rejected an approach from Bayern Munich for winger Luis Diaz, insisting the Colombian winger is not for sale this summer.

The Bundesliga giants joined Barcelona and Saudi club Al Nassr in expressing interest, but the Reds have maintained a consistent stance: Diaz remains a key figure in their plans.

The 28-year-old was instrumental in Liverpool’s title-winning 2024/25 campaign, netting 13 league goals and providing five assists. Since his £49-million move from FC Porto in January 2022, Diaz has scored 41 goals across 148 matches, winning four major trophies.

Despite speculation around his future, Diaz publicly stated last month: “I’m very, very happy in Liverpool. From day one, they’ve made me feel really welcome.” However, he also acknowledged ongoing discussions with other clubs due to the open transfer window.

The situation has sparked confusion among supporters, with some questioning whether the English side’s refusal to sell is genuine or strategic. Others argue that Diaz should be rewarded with an extended contract to reflect his value.

Unless a significantly high offer emerges – such as the rumoured £73 million from Al Nassr – Liverpool appear determined to keep hold of one of their most influential players as they prepare for the new season.
