Liverpool bagged themselves a firm UEFA Champions League victory after they beat Atalanta 5-0 last night, Tuesday 3 November, at Gewiss Stadium.

The man of the evening was definitely the Reds’ Diogo Jota after he found the back of the home side’s net three times: first in the 16th minute, then again in the 33rd and 54th minutes.

His team-mates, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, also contributed a goal at the 47th and 49th minute, respectively.

Atalanta showed a willingness to get back into the game, coupled with a handful of opportunities at goal, but ultimately the Black and Blues just couldn’t stop the goal bonanza.

Lady Luck also smiled upon Reds boss, Jurgen Klopp, as the win broke an away losing streak – helping to shape the 53-year-old German’s reputation as one of the best managers in the footballing world in recent years.

This game meant that Liverpool has seen three wins from three matches in Group D of the Champions League so far.
