Kelly Preston Loses Cancer Battle at 57
Actress Kelly Preston has passed away from breast cancer at the age of 57.
The “Jerry Maguire” actress died on Sunday morning, 12 July. Her husband, actor John Travolta, confirmed the news in a post on Instagram later that day.
The 66-year-old actor shared an image of his late wife smiling, with the sombre caption: “It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife, Kelly, has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer.”
He went on: “My family and I will forever be grateful to her doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center [sic], all the medical centers [sic] that have helped, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side.”
Preston had a prolific career in film and television – her first role was in the 1983 film, “10 to Midnight”, and her final role was alongside her husband as Victoria Gotti in the 2018 biographical film, “Gotti”.
She married Travolta in 1991, and they have three children together – Jett, Ella Bleu, and Benjamin.
