Imperial Wanderers 1’s opening batter, Niko Davin, today scored his second ton (100 runs) for the 2022-2023 Premier League One Day Match season versus the MR24/7 Welwitschias 1 from the coast at Wanderers in the capital.

Davin’s flaming broad willow chased seven fours and five sixes to the boundary from 93 deliveries for his 119 runs. He was eventually caught by John-Eric Thierauch from Simon Shikongo’s bowling.

His tally for the current season in seven matches as the top run factory of the league includes 48 fours, 18 sixes and 527 runs at an average of 87.83 runs per over with a strike rate of 111.65 percent.

It is a mystery why Davin was not selected to join the Richelieu Eagles for their last six one day international matches of the Cricket World Cup League 2 competition in Nepal and the United Arab Emirates.

Wanderers posted 293 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 45 overs for the visitors to chase.
