JUST IN: Anri Krugel and Melissa Hinz of Team Hollard powered by Simonis Storm took first and second position respectively in stage 1 of the elite women’s race in the Pupkewitz MegaBuild Tour de Windhoek road cycling tour at the Dordabis road. Hinz will still wear the yellow jersey in this afternoon’s team time trial at Tony Rust. Hinz won the prologue yesterday to clinch the yellow jersey for the first stage. Brandon Downes from the South African Team TEG won the elite men’s race taking the yellow jersey from Gustav Basson. Downes took the overall lead by a second over Basson from Team DMS (yesterday’s prologue winner).
