False alarm, folks: Jennifer Garner is not taking back her ex-husband, Ben Affleck.

Last Saturday, 1 March, the former Hollywood couple – who were married from 2005 to 2018, and share three children together – were spotted getting handsy at their son Samuel’s 13th birthday party at a paintball range in Los Angeles, California.

In response, the rumour mill churned out reports that Affleck was ready to rekindle his romance with the 52-year-old “Alias” actress.

However, as of Wednesday, 5 March, sources who are apparently close to the duo dismissed the notion.

“Jen has a great co-parenting relationship with Ben, and that’s where things stand on her end at the moment,” one insider explained to an American media outlet.

Furthermore, the source claimed that Garner is “happy” in her relationship with her current boyfriend, John Miller, whom she has been dating since 2018.

As for Affleck, a second source declared that the 52-year-old “Argo” star “knows it’s just not realistic at this time in their lives”, especially after his divorce from singer Jennifer Lopez was finalised last month.

“Ben just got out of a marriage, and … he is really busy with work and is focused on this new chapter,” the source said. “Plus, Ben respects Jen’s relationship with John and would never come between them.”
