Is James Corden Replacing Ellen DeGeneres?

Rumours are swirling that Ellen DeGeneres is about to be replaced on her eponymous, daytime talk show by “The Late Late Show” host, James Corden.

According to reports, DeGeneres – who has hosted “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” since 2003 – has been accused of turning a blind eye to racism, bullying and sexual harassment that her employees have experienced while working on the show.

Speaking to a media outlet, an anonymous source claimed that Corden – famous for his “Carpool Karaoke” and “Drop The Mic” segments on his talk show – is in line to take over DeGegeneres’ hosting duties.

They said: “James Corden was being eyed for [DeGeneres’] job in the long term before any of this came to light. Now this shocking new development places a spotlight on the next step.”

The source added: “Replacing [DeGeneres] was always going to be a tough challenge, but he is a natural fit and easy transition. [Corden] would freshen up daytime and with a free hand would be allowed to build a new afternoon era.”
