“Glee” Star Goes Missing
Actress Naya Rivera is missing and presumed dead, after her four-year-old son was found floating alone in a boat on a lake in Ventura, California.
According to reports, the 33-year-old actress – who rose to fame on the 2009 television show, “Glee” – planned to enjoy an afternoon of swimming with her son, Josey Dorsey, on Wednesday, 8 July.
At 1PM, she rented out a pontoon boat at Lake Piru, a reservoir in Los Padres National Forest.
Four hours later, another boater discovered Rivera’s son – who was wearing a life jacket – sleeping alone in the pontoon boat, while the actress was nowhere to be seen.
Upon arriving at the scene, Ventura County Sheriff’s Department found another life jacket in the boat, leading them to believe that Rivera was not wearing one while swimming.
Dive teams, helicopters and drones were deployed as part of the search-and-rescue mission, which was suspended at 10PM.
Little Josey has since been reunited with his family, including his father, actor Ryan Dorsey.
The investigation into Rivera’s disappearance continues.
