Four More Years for Klopp

Liverpool coach, Jurgen Klopp, accomplished the rare feat of bringing a historic league title win to the club after three decades, but he may have let slip his future plans in the process.

The 53-year-old German tactician was recently speaking to a sporting news outlet when he was asked about his time with the club, and he gave no indication of what he intends doing afterwards.

He mused: “Four years in Liverpool, [and then] do nothing for a year.”

The Reds boss signed a four-year contract in December 2019, and has made it clear that he will see it through until 2024 when it expires.

Klopp joined the Anfield team in October 2015, following the exit of Brendan Rodgers. Since then, he has seen 260 matches for Liverpool: bagging 159 wins, drawing 57 matches, and enduring 44 losses.

He was also asked if he had any intentions to return to Germany, and he remained coy: “Definitely to live, after my career. Most likely even to Mainz.”
