Eminem’s STANS Documentary Unveils Rare Music and Truths

Eminem’s latest project, “STANS”, offers fans both a revealing look at his life and a treasure trove of unheard material.
The documentary, fresh from a limited cinema run, delves into the 52-year-old rapper’s rise, his relationship with fans and personal struggles, including his 2007 near-fatal overdose, which he says was the moment he knew he had to change.
“I woke up with tubes in me … I wanted to get up [but] I couldn’t move,” he recalls in the film. That experience marked the start of his sobriety, which he now proudly treats as a “superpower”.
The soundtrack, landing on streaming services on 26 August, blends songs from the film with previously unreleased tracks from the “Lose Yourself” rapper’s extensive vault.
The film features appearances from Dr. Dre, Adam Sandler, and Jimmy Iovine, while also capturing Eminem’s gratitude toward those who’ve supported him.“This film is a thank you to all of you for sticking by me for this whole f****** time,” he told the audience while making a surprise appearance at the premier in New York recently.
Following its theatrical run, “STANS” will stream on Paramount+, giving fans worldwide the chance to experience one of the most candid portraits of the rap icon yet.
