Tottenham midfielder, Dele Alli, suffered minor facial injuries after he was assaulted during a knifepoint robbery at his North London home, in the early hours of Wednesday, 13 May 2020.

The 24-year-old England international was in self-isolation with his adopted brother Harry Hickford, their partners, and a friend when the incident happened.

According to the police statement, Alli was threatened and punched in the face by two masked intruders armed with knives who ordered him to hand over valuables.
The two culprits fled with hundreds of thousands of pounds’ worth of jewellery, including expensive watches. The police confirmed that no arrests have yet been made, however, further investigations are underway.

Although Alli did not require hospital treatment, he has said that he was left terrified. He also took to Twitter to assure his followers that he is fine following the incident, and thanked them for their messages of support.

He said: “Thank you for all the messages. Horrible experience but we’re all okay now. Appreciate the support.”
