Decision Day for 2019/2020 Seasons

European football’s governing body (UEFA) top executives are set to meet today, 23 April, to discuss and finalise the end of the 2019/2020 campaign, which has been affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

The Executive Committee (EXCO), who are set to meet, has the last word on all UEFA competitions, which affect 55 member associations, including the FA and SFA.

Although UEFA have revealed a desire to see domestic leagues and cup competitions get completed across Europe, it has also confirmed that some leagues will be cancelled.

The governing body wants all member associations to order leagues to do everything possible to finish the season.

However, their main priority will be the Champions League and the Europa League, followed by any competition that leads to European qualification.

On Tuesday, 21 April 2020, UEFA revealed that it’ll be announcing their final decision following their meeting today.
