David Moyes: “West Ham has Unfulfilled Potential”

West Ham United F.C. coach, David Moyes, believes his team has the most untapped talent in the whole English Premier League (EPL).

The Hammers have cleared the relegation zone in the past two seasons, but their 57-year-old Scottish manager thinks standards have changed and expects more from the squad.

Just a week before the new season commences – on Sunday, 6 September – Moyes spoke with a sports publication.

He claimed: “I’d argue [West Ham] has still got the most unfulfilled potential in the Premier League.”

The former Celtic footballer added: “We’re going to have to play better, do better. I think we’ve got to be better in everything.”

Moyes has stated that his main priority was to build a young squad with Declan Rice as its captain.

The EPL pre-season transfer window and subsequent new signings have energised optimism all around, but the Hammers coach is focused on his goals.

He said that “spending doesn’t guarantee success” and intends building a team that instills pride in its supporters.
