Cuba Gooding Jr.: The Life(saver) of the Party

Cuba Gooding Jr. recently saved the life of a man who inadvertently set himself on fire at a weekend Hamptons party.

Reports say that the 52-year-old actor rescued the head of the party – an unnamed tech CEO – by dousing him with water after the oblivious host leaned back into a lit candle.

The party was a “socially distanced Shabbat dinner” in the posh area of Suffolk County, New York.

His shirt caught fire whilst the rabbi was leading the Shabbat prayer, and the quick-thinking “Pearl Harbor” star “jumped into action hero mode”.

The previously stunned guests started applauding once it was clear that the fiery accident was under control and the CEO was alright.

Gooding is currently facing several lawsuits from women stemming from sexual misconduct in the past. The most recent is a civil lawsuit launched on 18 August, from an unidentified woman who claims the actor raped her in a Manhattan club back in 2013.
