Cristiano Ronaldo: Back in Turin and Quarantined

Juventus superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, has returned to club headquarters, but now faces two weeks in self-isolation as a precaution for avoiding the coronavirus.
The 35-year-old Portuguese forward left the archipelago of Madeira, Portugal, after the Italian government granted permission for football training centres across the Mediterranean nation to reopen.
The action comes after several weeks of lockdown due to the ongoing pandemic.
Ronaldo and his family – who had spent two months of quarantine at their island home – flew on a private jet for the city of Turin, in northern Italy, on Monday, 4 May.
He is expected to return to training on 18 May, but will be tested again before resuming training.
Juve’s training centre recently had a spate of players test positive for the contagion: Paulo Dybala, Daniele Rugani and Blaise Matuidi.
Italy’s sports minister, Vincenzo Spadafora, has given no concrete dates, and remains unsure about when football will return. However, many are hopeful that the season will complete before the year ends.
