Coutinho Offers Pay Cut in a Transfer Plea to Klopp

Philippe Coutinho is battling to return to Liverpool and is reportedly pleading with Jurgen Klopp to take him back on a pay cut in order to end his time with Barcelona.

The 28-year-old footballer spent five years at Liverpool before he left for Barcelona in 2018 – in an attempt to fill Neymar’s shoes but he failed to shape up.

The Catalans then sent him to Bayern Munich on a season-long loan with an option of signing up, but the reigning Bundesliga champions decided not to make the move permanent.

The Brazilian winger has recently been linked to several Premier League clubs, and has previously expressed his desire to move back to England – and hopefully back to Anfield now.

Although Klopp might consider signing Coutinho, the steep cost of his signature may block his path. Liverpool have confirmed lack of transfer funds this season, which saw them pulling out of a potential deal to sign Timo Werner.

However, a loan with an option of permanency next summer could end Coutinho’s Nou Camp gripes.
