Child Custody Battle Looming for Amanda Bynes
Pregnant actress, Amanda Bynes, reportedly faces the possibility of losing custody of her unborn child.
On Tuesday 17 March, the 33-year-old “All That” star announced her pregnancy via Instagram, where she posted a now-deleted photo of her ultrasound.
Her fiance, Paul Michae – to whom Bynes became engaged last month – shared the same photo to his Instagram account before deleting it shortly afterwards.
According to reports, the troubled actress – who is currently undergoing treatment at a live-in psychiatric facility – might have to give up her child custody rights to her parents.
Her mother, Lynn Bynes, is her conservator and makes all major decisions on her behalf, including marriage. She is believed to have already approached a Los Angeles court to file a custody lawsuit.
Although Michael also has the right to fight for child custody, the predicted outcome is that he will lose custody and that Bynes will be granted visitation rights for her own child.
Bynes’ attorney, David Esquibias, commented that “it’s premature for anyone to speculate about who would have custody of [Bynes’] unborn child.”
