AFC Ajax star, Hakim Ziyech, is heading to Stamford Bridge after Chelsea signed him to a five-year deal.

According to reports, the 26-year-old Moroccan international – who plays as an attacking midfielder for Ajax – will join the Premier League outfit on 1 July for an initial fee of £33.4 million.

Until then, he will remain at the Dutch club for the rest of the season.

Chelsea director, Marina Granovskaia, praised the Blues’ new signing: “We are delighted [that Ziyech] will be joining us, having been a key target of the club’s in this last window.”

She added: “He has consistently been one of the most dangerous attacking players in Europe in recent years, which we saw first-hand in our two games against Ajax in the Champions League.”

Ziyech also commented on the move: “I am delighted and proud to have signed for such a huge club as Chelsea. I am looking forward to next season and hope we can achieve great things together.”
