Blue Waters restructures

Yesterday, Blue Waters (BW) announced the restructuring of its technical team following the appointment of club legend Armando Pedro as first assistant coach.
As one of the most successful teams in the country, BW has a clear goal of returning to its glory days. This appointment is therefore in tandem to this objective as well as consolidating the club’s impressive start to the current season.
According to a press statement, incumbent head coach Lucky Shipanga will remain in his role, while Mekondjo Tobias will assume the role of second assistant coach.
The coastal outfit’s chairman Robert Shimooshili explained why the club resorted to having two assistant tacticians.
“Pedro, Shipanga and Tobias have been with BW for many years and donned the club’s famous blue jersey since their youth days, winning several trophies during their playing days. We believe they are well acquainted with the club’s traditions and ethos and they carry the winning spirit that the club is accustomed to.
“We are confident the technical team has the skill to make correct decisions and judgments to successfully steer the club in the right direction and we wish them all the best,” he added.
These changes are with immediate effect, the club said. BW is currently third in the Debmarine Namibia Premiership with 14 points, and is set to make other important announcements in due course.
