Bayern Munich Outclasses Chelsea with 3-0 Win

Bayern Munich’s 3-0 romp to victory made Chelsea feel the blues during their UEFA Champions League match last night, Tuesday 25 February.

The German side put on a powerful display of exciting football as they out-performed a tired Blues team on their home pitch of Stamford Bridge in London.

Chelsea’s fate was sealed when Bayern winger, Serge Gnabry, found the back of the net in the 51st minute, and once again three minutes later; his team-mate, Robert Lewandowski, added to the demolition with a goal in the 76th minute of play.

To rub salt in the wound, Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso earned a red card when he challenged Lewandowski – leaving his side with 10 men to suffer through the seven-minute remainder of the game.

After the match, Chelsea coach, Frank Lampard, sombrely said: “It’s a reality check for the work that needs to be done.”

Chelsea have lost eight home games in their current campaign, their worst streak since the 1985-86 season.
