Bayern Munich Crowned Champions League Winners

Bayern Munich have won the UEFA Champions League for the sixth time, after beating Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 on Sunday, 23 August 2020 in Lisbon, Portugal.
This is the first European silverware that Bayern Munich have lifted since 2013. The German giants had a phenomenal season, in which they won the treble – Bundesliga, German cup and now the Champions League.
This was a much anticipated Champions League final between two European giants with a mountain of great goals expected, however, the teams featuring some of the world’s best forwards went into halftime goalless.
Goal machines, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe were left frustrated by the Bayern keeper, Manuel Neuer, who later emerged the man of the match. He was able to stop their shots even at close range.
The deadlock was finally broken in the 59th-minute by a header from Kingsley Coman, and his goal led to Bayern’s Champions League triumph.
France international, Coman was born in Paris, supported PSG as a boy, graduated at the PSG youth academy – made history as the youngest player to ever represent them – and now he has made history against them.
PSG had reached their first ever final in Europe’s premier club competition – however, they failed to lift the trophy – something that left Neymar in tears at the final whistle.
