Barca: What Next after Humiliating 8-2 UCL Defeat?

Barcelona’s 2-8 brutal demolition by Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final in Lisbon on Friday, 14 August, did not just cause jaws to drop around the world, but also showed that the invincible trophy machine is cracking and needs to be repaired.
In a furious response to mend the club and get the team back to form, the Spanish giants have dismissed their head coach, Quique Setien, and a wider restructuring of the first team is inevitable.
The club announced the decision to dismiss Setien on Monday, 17 August. The 61-year-old Spaniard was appointed in January and within seven months in charge, he led the club to their first trophyless season in 12 years.
The Blaugrana are set to announce the Netherlands national team coach, Ronald Koeman as their new manager.
The club plans to overhaul the first team as soon as the new coach is announced. According to reports, Barcelona have put their whole squad up for sale except for Messi, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, Frenkie De Jong, and wonderkids Ansu Fati and Riqui Puig.
Barcelona’s Board of Directors have also brought forward the presidential elections to March 2021.
