Gareth Bale is reportedly on his way to London from Spain ahead of sealing a season-long move back to Tottenham Spur, after spending seven years in Spain.

Spurs sold the highly-rated 31-year-old winger to Real Madrid in 2013 for an undisclosed world-record fee – rumoured to be £86 million – but he fell out of favour with Zinedine Zidane.

The slide saw the Welsh star being benched during Madrid’s crucial games during the 2019/20 season.

The Lilywhites are set to end Bale’s Madrid nightmare, as the club have agreed to pay about £20m in wages and loan fees.

The image of Bale’s booking schedule was leaked on Thursday, 18 September, which ended up trended on social media the following day; it shows that he will be playing golf with Tottenham’s chief scout, Steve Hitchin, this afternoon.

Spurs manager, Jose Mourinho, played down the prospect of Bale re-joining the club saying that he still views him as a Real Madrid player.
