Liverpool FC started the new season firing on all cylinders, but the same can’t be said for Arsenal FC after their 1-3 loss at Anfield Stadium on Monday night, 28 September.

The Reds have won all their new season matches so far, despite missing the skills of Thiago Alcantara and Jordan Henderson due to injuries.

Liverpool coach, Jurgen Klopp, was amazed by the level of play that his team had set in defence of their English Premier League title – goals from Sadio Mane, Andy Robertson and Diogo Jota saw his team earn another three well-earned points.

In a post-match interview with the sporting press, the 53-year-old German manager said: “The football we played was absolutely exceptional. About this game tonight, there is nothing bad to say.”

Even Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, shared his opponent’s views during a post-match interview.

The 38-year-old Spaniard said: “[Liverpool] set the bar and they’re probably the best standard that the Premier League has seen in many years. This is where we have to get and obviously we’re still a long way from getting there.”
