Arsenal Blast Through Man United at Old Trafford

Arsenal are riding high after their historic 1-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday night, 1 November.

The Gunners enjoyed their first English Premier League (EPL) victory on United soil in 14 years, and their first “Big Six”-away scalp in five years.

Arsenal won a penalty in the 69th minute after United’s Paul Pogba clipped Hector Bellerin’s ankles – thus, it was the boot of Gunners captain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, that sealed their opponents’ fate.

The hosts pushed hard to even the scoreboard, but a final opportunity – with five minutes left on the clock – saw Donny van de Beek’s kick bounce off the bar, giving the visitors three points on the EPL table and an ego boost.

Arsenal have also moved up to eighth on the table with 12 points, just one place ahead of Manchester United.

The result leaves Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side without a victory on home soil this season, despite an impressive performance against German outfit, RB Leipzig, during their UEFA Champions League game during the midweek.
