Alexander-Arnold Named EPL Young Player of the Season

Liverpool’s little magician, Trent Alexander-Arnold, has been crowned the Premier League’s Young Player of the Season.
The 21-year-old full-back defender has beaten the Manchester United trio, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood to the award after a phenomenal season at Anfield.
Alexander-Arnold played a crucial role in Liverpool’s Premier League triumph – he made 38 appearances and ended the campaign with 4 goals, 12 clean sheets and 13 assists from right-back – a new record for a defender in the English top flight.
The Liverpool academy graduate has also been nominated for the senior version of the award, alongside his captain, Jordan Henderson, and teammate, Sadio Mane.
Brazilian legend and two-time World Cup winner, Cafu, who is regarded as one of the finest full-backs to ever play the game, has dubbed Alexander-Arnold as “a rare talent” and tipped him to become one of the world’s best players and win the Ballon d’Or.
Former Chelsea defender, Graeme Le Saux, has also hailed the Reds’ wonderkid and said: “I can’t ever remember one player having such an influence on his team at right-back as Trent has on Liverpool, let alone from a 21-year-old.”
