Actor Jonathan Joss Shot Dead, Fans in Mourning

Actor Jonathan Joss, beloved for voicing John Redcorn in the animated series “King of the Hill”, was fatally shot in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 59.
The incident occurred on Sunday evening, 1 May, near his former home. Joss’ husband, Tristan Kern de Gonzales, claimed the attack was fuelled by homophobia, alleging that the gunman hurled slurs before opening fire.
Earlier this year, Joss’s home was destroyed in a fire that killed the couple’s dogs, adding to the tragic backdrop. The suspect, 56-year-old Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja, has been charged with murder.
Police, however, say they found no evidence to support this motive but confirmed they are treating the investigation with the utmost seriousness.
The actor was a familiar face and voice to many, not only for his role in “King of the Hill” – which spanned over a decade – but also for his portrayal of Chief Ken Hotate in “Parks and Recreation”. His passing has prompted an outpouring of grief from colleagues and fans alike.
His death marks the end of a vibrant career, but his contributions undoubtedly will not be forgotten.
