3 Sensationally Fruity Smoothie Recipes
There’s no better way to cool down from the heat or energise yourself in the morning than with a healthy but oh-so-delicious smoothie.
Try one of these three delightfully fruit-tastic recipes:
Perfect Peach Smoothie
1 large ripe peach, sliced and frozen
1 banana, cut into pieces and frozen
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup soy milk
1 tablespoon ground flax seed
1 sprig of mint
Put all the ingredients into a blender. Cover and process until smooth and drinkable. Garnish with a sprig of mint.
Melon Lime Cooler
4 1/2 cups cubed honeydew melon
1 1/2 cups prepared lime jelly
2 tablespoons lime juice
4 fresh strawberries
Place the melon cubes onto a baking sheet in a single layer, and freeze until firm to the touch. Add the melon, jelly and lime juice to a blender, and puree until smooth. Garnish with strawberries.
Cool-Off Smoothie
2 cups strawberries, hulled
1 cup orange juice
2/3 cup strawberry yogurt
2 cups ice
1 banana
Place all the ingredients into a blender. Cover and blend until nice and smooth.
